A Common Prayer
(This is the prayer of which the phrase "In Reverence to Thee" originates.
Weary from whence I came,
exhausted now, where I am,
with no place left to go,
I bend my knees in reverent submission to Thee!
I make no defense on my behalf,
as the witness within can attest,
I am guilty as charged, all that I've done,
if not through action, then surely by thought,
in view of, and in defiance to Thee!
I've lost hope in the church,
in all that I see, and all that I hear,
but mere arguing of Thee,
but if Thou be willing,
I know without doubt, should You be within me,
wherst so ever my feet, Thou shall lead,
Thy Church shall follow,
and in my last breath, find this lost soul,
that I may dwell with Thee!

A Sinner's Prayer
Our Father in Heaven, Whom hath created the heavens and the Earth and in Whom all things have been ordered from beginning to end, according to Thy divine Will. Throughout all the generations, You have never changed, only our hearts against Thee. despite which Your patience and mercy hath endured, for our sake alone.
I want to sin, not intentionally against Thee, but I know from my past, having drank every glass, that the guilt which remains, reminds me, my captivity to sin, no hope for escape, less by chance, more so by mercy, Thou cometh my way, and entering within, allowing me to say, "I will not! Thy Will and Thy strength is greater than my own!" For on my own, I have the strength to do absolutely nothing!
